Last week we took a trip to California. Our nephew Michael is leaving on his mission this Wednesday to serve in Tucson, Arizona. So we headed down there to go to his farewell. We saw lots of family and had lots of fun! We stayed with Kristen while we were there. She was nice enough to give us her bed for a few nights. On Friday night we had dinner at Julie & John's house. It was nice being able to spend time with them. On Saturday we went to the LA Fair, a tradition we used to have when we lived there. Then on Saturday night we headed down to Carlsbad, and went to Michael's farewell on Sunday. We are very excited for him and the choice he has made to serve a mission. He is going to be the best missionary, and we are going to miss him very much! We had a really fun vacation! We are just sad that Summer is over!

Two weeks ago we were able to go to the Nauvoo Temple and witness the sealing of Bobby, Kierra and Brycey. It was one of the most special days of our lives and I know it was in theirs. The spirit was so strong and we will never forget that feeling. What a sweet family! We also went to Carthage and walked where Joseph walked and where he died. We are so thankful for everything he did for us and for restoring the gospel to the earth, this truly strengthened my testimony! Thanks to Grandma, Tammy, Diane and Karen for coming along and making the trip so much more special! And of course we were so excited to spend time with Brycey! We love him so much!!!!
